Tibetan ocean massage uses a variety of techniques in combination to create a unique style. Prayer, energy work, meridians, pressure points, effleurage and kneading are all utilized in conjunction to promote healing on physical and spiritual levels.

Throughout the massage, the practitioner keeps a constant meditative state where he/she visualizes the Blue Medicine Buddha and conducts a positive, curative energy flow.

The Ocean Massage is conducted in a tranquil meditative environment; Kunga Tsering your Massage Practitioner will be evoking all senses to assist the patient to achieve a meditative state. Tibetan incense, music and chanting encourage the patient to relax, enabling the full benefits of the Ocean Massage. Tibetan & Himalayan oils which are derived from ancient herbal recipes only found in Tibetan Medicine will be used whilst the massage is conducted. The intensity of energy used depends on the patients likes however; essentially the massage has the benefits of deep tissue therapy. The Practitioner throughout the massage keeps a meditative state visualizing the Blue Medicine Buddha assisting in a curative flow for the patients healing purposes. The conclusion of the massage is symbolized with the use of sound energy by way of Tibetan Singing Bowls which will sooth and awaken your spirit.

Ocean Massage is the closest translation of the Tibetan word, "lakper jamtso", which means "kneading with the hands as the ocean". While it might seem strange for a land locked people to refer to the ocean, it is often symbolic of broad and deep knowledge. In fact, the word "dalai" of His Holiness the Dalai Lama means ocean. It was a title given to the 3rd Dalai Lama by the Mongolian emperor, Altyn Khan, to imply that his knowledge of spirituality was as vast as the ocean.
